Behind the Scenes at Ontario’s Theatres

• Sad to hear the news of the passing of Marty Southcott of North Bay. Marty was a past recipient of our Michael Spence Award for Contribution to Educational Theatre.
• Perth Studio Theatre was one of the beneficiaries of the National Arts Centre’s donation of old theatre seats from their renovation (autoplay video.)
• The Playwrights Guild of Canada's Play Map of Canada for September is available, with ten productions of Canadian-written plays in Ontario.
• Honouring Canadian Actors Equity Association’s 40th anniversary in 2016, CAEA wants to update their photo exhibition and “capture some of the breakthrough productions which expanded the Canadian live performance landscape over the last 15 years.”
• The Toronto Arts Council has introduced their new strategic plan Arts-Making 2025.
