- Ken Stephen—a former Theatre Ontario Board member and past recipient of our Michael Spence Award for Contribution to Community Theatre—has already twice seen the Theatre Sarnia production of 33 Variations that is coming to Festival in North Bay—first in Sarnia and again in Woodstock.
- Heather Gardner and the Living Fit Choir received an Adjudicator’s Award at QUONTA Festival in Sudbury—and you will hear their work at our Festival in North Bay on opening night in Curved.
- Port Stanley Festival Theatre is hosting the grand re-opening of their newly expanded theatre on May 14.
- Congratulations to Brant Theatre Workshops who received a Seed Grant from the Ontario Trillium Foundation to expand their Summer Theatre Festival.
- Latest 16/17 season announcements are from Northumberland Players in Cobourg and Hart House Theatre in Toronto.
- Community Legal Education Ontario (CLEO) continues to keep the community updated on the implementation plans of the Ontario Not-for-Profit Corporations Act, 2010. The new technical amendments bill still has not been introduced, but CLEO has a useful Q&A for organizations currently amending their bylaws.
