Angela Rebeiro, a member of our Board of Directors, and former Publisher at Playwrights Canada Press and Executive Director of the Playwrights Guild of Canada, on her investiture to the Order of Canada.
Ron Cameron-Lewis, current leader of our "Introduction to Adjudication" course, past recipient of the Maggie Bassett Award, and far too many other connections to Theatre Ontario to enumerate. Upon his retirement, Ron was recognized as "Professor Emeritus, Music Theatre Department, Sheridan Institute of Technology and Advanced Learning" and a scholarship was established by the Board of Governors in his name. He will be the keynote speaker at their June convocation.

Beth Brown, recently announced as General Manager of Theatre Direct Canada, as of March 1. A graduate of the National Theatre School’s Technical and Production Program, Beth began working with Theatre Direct as the Production Stage Manager in 2001 and then joined the company permanently in 2002 as the Production Manager overseeing the company’s local, provincial and national touring as well as Theatre Direct’s award-winning venue based productions. Since Theatre Direct took up residence in the new Artscape Wychwood Barns in January 2009, Beth has overseen the technical fit-out project for the theatre and studio spaces, developed the company’s venue management and rentals systems and implemented all production and venue staff training including health and safety.
Allan Stratton, a past Festival adjudicator and Summer Courses leader. Life Above All, the adaptation of his acclaimed novel Chanda's Secrets, has been chosen to compete in Un Certain Regard at the 2010 Cannes Film Festival.
