- CultureLink’s Youth Theatre Group shared their experience training in theatre creation for their original play Unsettled, a project supported by our Youth Theatre Training Program, funded by the Ontario Arts Council.
- The sound cut out during a performance of Natasha, Pierre and the Great Comet on Broadway – and Lindsay Timmington reflected on it as an example of what Jordan Tannahill wrote in Theatre of the Unimpressed.

- A celebration of Jon Kaplan is being held at the Bluma Appel Theatre in Toronto on Tuesday, September 19. Tickets are free, but must be booked in advance.
- Initial reports of a fire at Georgetown Little Theatre brought back memories of 1998 and the destruction of their rehearsal hall. However, as per President Virginia Bancur (and reported here in the Georgetown Independent Free Press), the damage was minimal.
- The Stratford Festival announced their 2018 season. Things that seemed to provoke the most excitement in my timeline: A production of The Rocky Horror Show and Martha Henry playing Prospero in The Tempest.
- Followed by the Shaw Festival announcing their 2018 season. Particularly interesting is hearing how The Court House Theatre will be “repurposed as a rehearsal, training and education facility and for the Festival’s expanded audience programs.”
- ArtsBuild Ontario is surveying creative spaces across the province to better understand the impact of property tax assessments.
