- Jerry Doiron passed away on October 8. At Theatre Ontario, we worked with Jerry for many years on the Neil Munro Intern Directors Project at the Shaw Festival. Eric Coates, President of the Professional Association of Canadian Theatres, wrote a remembrance (Facebook), and there is a memorial at Tarragon Theatre in Toronto on November 3
- On October 9, the community theatre sector experienced similar losses with the deaths of Elaine Hall of Markham. Elaine was a longtime member and supporter of Markham Little Theatre and Theatre Ontario.
