Conversation Starters
- I am struggling with how to frame what happened Tuesday at noon on CBC radio. This column is about “Conversation Starters,” and I’m not sure if “Why live theatre is dead to you” is a conversation that is of any interest to me. I’m still sorting through my own responses—which right now seems focused on a public broadcaster that came across less interested in opening minds, and more interested in amplifying closed ones. I suspect there are insights to be found in it, somewhere. In the meantime, two quick responses to share: Howard Sherman has Storified many of the tweets that specifically mentioned the show by Twitter ID, and Alexander Offord has started a petition for a new conversation

This column takes a break next week, but we’ll be back on February 21.
