I'm going to have to read Simon's post on filmed theatre because I'm seeing the Electric Company Theatre's production of No Exit this week: three of the actors are portrayed on three screens, though the performances are still live. Also, I've been looking at video archives of theatre productions and wondering how much they can capture the experience.
