7 Days In Ontario Theatre

What's Happening?
  • "Why shouldn’t labour costs for theatre represent the highest portion of your production budget? Like Soylent Green, theatre is made of people." -- Kris Joseph
  • (Kris is writing about professional independent theatre, but I think that is an equally important message for community theatres: Shouldn't your volunteer costs be the highest portion of your budget?  How much do you spend on free workshops and training for your members, your social activities...on making your community theatre somewhere people want to belong?)
  • "From Slave to Roman in 35 years": If you weren't at the Doras, Philip Akin transcribed his Silver Ticket acceptance speech
